i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE...

AMERICAN IDOL! American Idol makes me feel SO GOOD. I love everything about it. I love the thrill of listening to my favorites do well... (Danny) I can't wait to hear ALL of my favorites perform in the next two weeks. American Idol brings the family together. Last night, after a delicious dinner of hamburgers and sun chips, we all gathered around the television and watched the first live performance of season 8. AND, then we all voted. :) even Johnny! American Idol has exposed me to music that I wouldn't have grown to love if it weren't for idol. I love it.. so much! enough said.

Date 2.

This weekend i went to Provo for date 2 with Christian. (Kneaders boy pictured below.. )  I drove up to Provo on Friday night and hung out with Alexis.  We went hot tubbing and chatted with the newly engaged couple, Toni and Dan, and we ordered pizza.  Sats. I went on the date with Christian.  He picked me up at Lex's house at 1:30 and we went to Zupas? for lunch.  We both got yummy paninis and complimentary chocolate covered strawberries.  delicious!  After lunch we had about an hour before the play started so we went to his apt. and watched last week's Office.  hehe... i lOVE the office.  After that we went to the Hale Theater in Orem and we were SO excited for the show, AIDA!  It was great!  I loved every minute of it.  Totally gave me the chills.  I wanted to sing along so bad.  The music was excellent.  After the play, he took me back to Alexis' house.  Alexis and I went to the Brick Oven and shopping for a minute and then to The Secret Life of Bees.  Good Movie!  Sunday morning I woke up and drove home for Taylor Nelson's farewell.  It was a very great weekend.  I didn't want to come home..  It didn't last nearly long enough.  OH WELL!  back to another fabulous week of craziness.  LOVERS!

PS..  If you haven't seen AIDA, I suggest you see it.  It's now on my list of favorite musicals.  AIDA, AIDA!!!

So, here i am... upstairs in my room getting ready to start my homework after a freaking long day.. AND MY PARENTS ARE OUT PARTYING!  Shouldn't it be the other way around? seriously! My mom's at a Fancy Nancy party at Nancy's with all of her bunko friends, and my dad is downstairs playing cards with all the guys. I WISH I WERE PLAYING WITH MY FRIENDS! Will school ever be over???

FUNNY STORY!

So, I was talking to Sheila on Friday and we were just shootin the breeze.. She told me that her and tony were driving up north the next day! (Heidi was already up there and was having a girls night on Saturday night, without me. i NEEDED to go up north) I was so shocked that she was going up so I invited myself to ride up with them. As we were pulling into Utah Valley Tony was talking about his favorite sandwich place.. Kneaders. He was just ranting and raving over it. So, I called up Heidi and Alexis and told them to meet me there cause that's where She and Tony were eating. They pulled up shortly after we did and we decided to just eat there too. We walked in and ordered and as we were ordering/paying I pulled out my wallet and saw my tickets that I got for Les Mis! (I got from heather the day before) So, I said to Heidi, "Do you work on Tuesday? i got TICKETS!" bummed out, she said, "yeah, i work... dangit!" The kid who was ringing us up said, "what do you have tickets for?" Heidi and i said, "oh, we're from St. George. It's for Les Miserables at a Theater down in st. George!... Tuacahn." He said, "oh yeah, i've heard of that place. That sounds fun!" I (not really thinking) said... "well, we have an EXTRA TICKET if you want to come down!" he lit up and said, "serious?" I said, "yeah, sure! (i guess... :) haha) so he said, "well, can i get your name and number and I'll call ya?" So he grabbed a paper that they wrap the sandwiches up in and a sharpie and i wrote my name and number down for him.. All his co-workers started laughing at us and I went and sat down.. She, tony, lex, and Heidi were all amazed at what had just happened. Not 10 minutes in Provo and Haylee's already given her number out?? CRAZY! So after we ate i went up to the kid and asked for his name and asked if he was seriously serious! I told him that he night need to fight my aunt for the ticket.. he said, "yeah, I'm serious.. if you're serious!" I was like. yeah, sure! come down! so.. the next day, Sunday, i got a call from CHRISTIAN. He wanted to get to know me a little better before he made the trip down to st. George. I didn't hear the phone so I ended up talking to him on Monday instead. Come to find out he served his mission with my friend's older brother.. and he's into musicals... match made in heaven? yeah.. We talked again on Tuesday to make sure everything was good to go and we chatted for a bit longer. Super nice and very talkative. He left work, Kneaders, at 4:30 and arrived in St. George at 7:45. We met at Wendy's and RUSHED over to Tuacahn. We met Mel, Heidi, Mom, and Sheila there. they all wanted to meet him and didn't want to turn down the opp. to see les mis!! So, we had PERFECT seats. (thanks heather) and had a great time. He'd NEVER seen les mis, so that was fun! After the play we came to my house and had some food and talked/laughed with mel, mom, and sheila. He's NOT a PB AT ALL! I took him back to Wendy's to get his car and he stayed at his missionary comp's house and left the next morning at 7 am to be to work at 11. quick trip all for me and les mis?? CRAZY! hahaha, i love spontaneity. we had a great time! hopefully there will be more posts about "Kneaders boy"... :)

Another Successful FUG-LY party. Matt requested a "surprise fugly party" for his 16 birthday. We managed to pull it off... again. hahaha.. we had a great time!

I'm on SAA (Student Alumni Association) again this year and I love it! It's so fun for me to meet new people and be involved with the college. I love the people i work with and I have such a fun time when we get together.

Europe!

So, im in Europe and have been since last thursday. So far we have been in London, France, and Switzerland. I have had such a fun time and i cant wait to get home and upload some of my fun pictures. I have taken about 1000 already, and we still have 5 days to go. I am having such a good time. I love it here! Loves.

They all looked darling in their new navy and white clothes.  We shot All the 202 pictures here in The Palisades (my neighborhood).  These are a few of my favorites.  

One of my Favorite people: Colby Labrum

Colbs was my manager when I worked at Jimmy Johns last summer.  He was the best manager.  He was so fun and such a great guy to work for.  He made work fun and I was always excited to go in to work.  LOVED IT.  

Colby is up for GM (general manager) of the year for Jimmy Johns because he is so amazing.  He is up against 6 other managers...  out of the hundreds of other managers, that's pretty freaking awesome!  Anyways, he finds out if he get's it this weekend in Florida.  If Colbs wins, he'll win one of these Jeeps.  YAY! 

GOOD LUCK COLBS!  You deserve it!

Here's the Update

I have to apologize for how long it's taken me to post again..  i've been BUSY!  

Here's the update.

First of All, I love my friends Desi and Ashley.  They're CA-UTE!

I was driving home a few weeks ago and saw the logo I designed for Sure Design Landscaping.  I can't tell you how rewarding it is to see your stuff printed, and being in use.  It was an awesome feeling, I had to pull over and take a pic.

It was the "Great Race" for the college.  The SAA (Student Alumni Association) put a team together.  I had to ride the bike.. :)  It was fun.  This is our lovely team all pumped up for the race!  GO Student Alumni Association Domination.

That night, I hung out with Teri, my cute friend I met while working for Jason and Dionna.  We hung out with her friend, Kevin.  Kev's brother and friend came down from SLC and so I got to meet them for the first time...  needless to say, they are THE FUNNIEST people I have ever met.  This is Timmy (Tiny Tim), Me, and Andrew.  Andrew had a crush on me.. :)  haha.  I love funny people.

My best friend plays tennis for the Dixie State College tennis team.  She IS the best on her team.  :)  I love watching her play.  She's not only the best on the team, she's the cutest too.

Last weekend, my family and I took a drive over to the Grand Canyon.  We had a fun time singing, playing games, and laughing on on the way over.  When we were getting closer to the final destination, we all realized that we were getting kinda hungry.  We only brought a few nilla wafers, candy, and drinks.  SHOOT, we were up a creek.. we went to the part of the Grand Canyon that isn't ... populated? commercialized?  NO RESTAURANTS in sight.  As we were pulling up, we saw our cement guy that was just at our house the day before. We pulled over to chat with them and they said they were just on their way home.  They had a little picnic and stuff.. we all said, "You're the smart ones, we didn't even bring food!"  As we were talking, the man's wife hops in the back of their truck and gets their cooler full of sandwich stuff and gives it to my dad.  We weren't going to let them give us their stuff, but they insisted.  We felt just like the Grizwold family on a trip to the Grand Canyon..  SO TACKY.  However, we scored a lunch out of the deal!  haha, It was SO funny.  We had a fun time looking off the edge and taking pictures-- with full tummies.  Thanks for nice people who share, and tripods.  :)

Dave Glendenning got a Jeep and decked it out for Jimmy Johns.  Jimmy John loved it so much that he decided to make three more just like Daves and then give them away at the Jimmy John convention.  I took pictures for Jimmy and Dave.  I want one now..  aren't they awesome?

Friday was the Senior Luau, put on by the SAA.  There were 3 seniors that showed up..  Not the best turn out.  However, it was decorated pretty dang cute!  The council had more fun than the guests did.  The centerpieces were glass bowls with gold fish and pebbles in them.  We loved those fish!  They were definitely the focus of the evening.

Life's Lessons.

If you know what's best for you--  don't LIE.  I do NOT tolerate liars.  Not under ANY circumstance.  Telling the truth is ALWAYS the best way to go.  NO QUESTION!

ALSO--  I can't handle people who ignore me.  If i call/text you, you better call/text back within 24 hours.  Especially if you know I need to talk to you.   And even MORE ESPECIALLY if you set up the "one minute" rule!  abide by your own rules.  One more thing: just pay the bill!

If you can't tell, i'm a little upset over two certain people in my life...

Lesson learned:  (1) don't fall for liars.

                      (2) don't become friends with your client.  

I feel life is too short to treat your "good friends" crappy.  (Can you tell i've had a bad month??)  I AM very grateful for the good people in my life who have been there to support me & help me through the not so fun times in life.  Thanks fam, des, and ash!  i loves you!
